New OPUS project advances lead-free thick-film X-ray detector technology.

Our group has launched a new NCN OPUS project focused on developing high-sensitivity, lead-free perovskite thick films for low-dose X-ray imaging. Led at Silesian University of Technology by Dr Khurram Shehzad, the project integrates materials synthesis, interface engineering, device fabrication and advanced characterization to develop safer and more efficient X-ray detectors. The research will support future applications in medical imaging, industrial inspection and radiation monitoring.
